Healthcare and Afghanistan

First; health care. Mr. President and members of Congress, I know I'm not alone in saying that I'm fed up with this mess! These things are obvious to me and I hope to most others: 1. You will NOT get the health care bill unless both sides make major concessions, therefore, first and foremost, forget the "Public Option" for the time being. If you don't all of this will have been a total waste of time, energy and money. 2. The Senate, bless their nasty Republican hearts, will do most ANYTHING to make President Obama look bad. The political opposition will do anything, no matter what the damage to the average American, to accomplish this. 3. Congress MUST be held to task and kept in session, no matter how long, until a health care bill is passed. It just won't be the ideal that you wish. While I'm on this subject...Very few members of Congress are representing the people who put them in office! Special interests, yes, the people, NO! I am convinced that NO member of Congress should be allowed to serve more than 2 terms. NO salary for life. Let them live like the rest of us! I might not think this if they were actually doing their jobs! Now to Afghanistan: Mr. President, I feel it is time to get stern with the rest of the world and draw a line in the sand. The problem of extremist Muslim groups and terrorism isn't only our problem. It is or will become the problem of any country who has a Muslim population. The world should be told to either join in with the United States in this "war on terror" or we will NOT remain in Afghanistan doing the dirty work while everyone sits back and criticizes us. We no longer belong there as the major force and will accomplish NOTHING without world support. We can use the money over here solving our OWN problems. Finally, to those members of Congress AND the people in general who support this war. If you want it, DO NOT keep sending the same dedicated soldiers back into harm's way again and again. If YOU want this war,start using the "D" word. Reinstate the DRAFT. Do I want that? NO, BUT YOU SEEM TO WANT THIS WAR, SO DO IT CORRECTLY! Oh, that's right....you may not get reelected if you do this....too bad.
