Chicago Tribune: ”Rep. Louise Slaughter of New York said Thursday she’s introduced a bill that would strengthen the authority of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to list animals as injurious. That designation prohibits them from being imported or shipped between states without a permit. Under current law, it takes the agency about four years to put a species on the list.”
