Democrats pressured on immigration
Report points to 40 districts where Latino voters matter.
Democrats may lose a key voting bloc if they don't act on immigration, advocates say.
On Monday, three groups that want Congress to overhaul immigration are holding a joint press conference on Capitol Hill to release "The Power of the Latino Voter in America."
America's Voice, National Council of La Raza, and the Service Employees International United have all been vocal proponents of a comprehensive immigration bill.
The report is expected to highlight 40 election districts where Latino voters could make a difference this fall.
It also evaluates "the role of immigration reform in determining voter participation and candidate preference" in midterm elections, the groups wrote in a carefully worded press release.
The pressure comes as Democrats reevaluatetheir political priorities and try to keep the focus on jobs.
