Supporting any measure to limit my ability to own any type of firearm or limit the capacity of there magazines is a direct infringement on my right to bear arms. I urge you not to get caught up in emotional politics and do whats right under the guidelines we live by in the bill of rights. The Heller case showed that weapons that are commonly owned by the public cannot be outlawed. The weapons described in the "Assault weapons ban" are commonly owned by millions of Americans who use them responsibly and pose no threat to the public at large. The majority of these weapons are designed to use magazines which hold 30 rounds or more and are standard issue at the time of purchase.Real action on criminal use of firearms will only be effective if you try to change the real contributing factors to gun crime. These factors would include Poverty, joblessness, mental health, prosecution for violations of existing gun law. Please use your head and know that we who enjoy these weapons legally should not have our rights put on the chopping block for the actions of a few societal outcasts.
