Immigration Reform

To:
Del. Eleanor Norton

February 7, 2013

Reform? Real reform would be to enforce our immigration laws - something we've never tried before. Amnesty isn't a solution - it's a surrender. We're surrendering our border, our identity, our future. We're saying, "We, as a nation and people, don't have the character to actually enforce our laws and borders, so we are going to surrender and call it victory."

Do you know who else said that? The Romans during the 3rd and 4th centuries AD. They gave up trying to protect their Rhine border from the Germanic hordes and instead gave them Roman citizenship. Did it save them? No, it doomed them.

What destiny are you dooming us to?
