Subject:
Stop the Assault Weapons Ban

To:
Sen. Ron Johnson
Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner

January 25, 2013

Dear Elected Representative,

When you assumed your office, you took an oath to defend the Constitution of the United States. The seriousness of that oath compels you to defend the individual liberty of those whom you represent. Legislation like Senator Feinstein's Assault Weapons Ban is in direct violation of the Constitution and cannot be passed. Senator Feinstein herself stated that:

"Put simply, we cannot allow THE RIGHTS of a few to override the safety of all."
- Senator Feinstein, from the floor of the Senate, 1/24/13

The rights of the people cannot be infringed because of a misguided agenda to disarm the American populace. Banning these weapons will not make people safer and will only serve to put law abiding citizens in danger.

Remember this: "Those who can give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."

I am your constituent, and I vote. If you support this legislation, I promise you will never again hold public office.

Hartland , WI
