The killing of Americans without due process
Rep. Barbara Lee
Sen. Dianne Feinstein
February 6, 2013
The rationale for the killing of Americans on foreign soil as outlined in the Justice Department Memo (basically, "we can kill who we want and we don't have to reveal our decision making process because of national security, so just trust us") is insupportable and just nuts. So much for meaningful gun control. Actions like these just reinforce the paranoia of people who don't want to give up their military assault weapons. If the government can just toss aside the constitution at will and kill citizens without due process, their fears are perfectly justified. Though I have full confidence that the ACLU will prevail (How could they not?). It would be much better if the US abandoned this insane policy now. Thank you for listening to my views.
