A different gun bill, perhaps.

Hi,

To draw an analogy: if you MIGHT have a neighbor with a psychotic tendency to hit people with hammers, would you seriously bicker over the size, shape, handle, and features of the heads of the hammers at the local store? Or would you rather KNOW that this person is there, and make sure that they can't get their hands on any bludgeoning instruments? For that matter, he can still go outside and pick up a stick or find a big wrench.

This gun bill does nothing but, as per the above analogy, frustrate the carpenters and tool collectors. It is toothless legislation, obsessed with issues of vanity.

Please try to fix the problem. Don't enact legislation that doesn't accomplish anything except appease a loud minority whilst alienating and angering another set of constituents.

Woodside , NY
