To my elected members of congress,

What a waste of a $174,000 salary we taxpayers are paying you. I have come to believe that you are over paid for what you
do and what you accomplish. If you had to take the same pay cut that your inaction is going to cause others, congress would have been much more likely to reach an agreement and avoid sequestration. You hypocrites! By one article it seems you are more concerned about canceled White House tours than you are the welfare of your constituents, many of whom, by the way, are government employees negatively effected by your inability to do what we voters have hired you to do by voting you into office.

I applaude Sens. Claire McCaskill (Mo.) and Bill Nelson (Fla.) for introducing the Congressional Overspending Pay Accountability Act which would reduce congressional salaries by the greatest percentage decrease that furloughed employees will face. At least I know there are two members of congress whose actions demonstrate a compassion for the people they affect. However, I don't believe the majority of you "Fat Cats" are going to elect to take a paycut. As a voter, I'm
seriously considering voting out all incumbants in the next election. Most people would be, and should be, fired for not doing their job.
