Instead of half truths to support your sides argument let's tell the whole story. Even if the sequester cuts kick in the federal government is scheduled to spend $15 billion more than 2012. The cuts only slow the rate of growth of federal spending. To cut spending you have to spend less than the previous year! Household budgets took a 2% real cut this year (my income is less than last year) with the expiration of the payroll tax cut. As a side note spending has increased 27% since 2008. My salary has not increase 27% since 2008.
