Governor Sam Brownback

Currently, any person in Kansas could be indefinitely detained - without charge or trial - pursuant to the provisions of the 2012 NDAA.
Kansas HB 2161 would end Indefinite Detention in our state.
I insist that you support HB 2161. Without our efforts, it will die in committee.
Kansans deserve due process. There is NO reason to detain anyone, even a terrorist, without charges or trial. Especially since the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) identified several indicators of domestic terrorism within the United States including:
Returning war veterans
Second Amendment advocates
People with gardens or stored food
That sounds like 3/4 of the Kansans I know.
Please protect our rights.
