I am writing to request that you oppose "H.R. 938, The United States-Israel Strategic Partnership Act of 2013." I think this is a problem because it would make Israel a “major strategic ally,” but no nation enjoys this new proposed status, even Canada.
I would also like you to oppose "H.R. 850, The Nuclear Iran Prevention Act of 2013". The problem is that this bill sanctions Iran before they have even tried to develop Nuclear Weapons. If people fear a conflict, it is better than they try to work things out instead of taking a major step to make things worse. "Preemptive Punishment" does not make sense.
Finally, I request that you do not exempt US Aid to Israel from sequestration, which is a mandatory reduction of all federal expenses across the board. The problem is that our economy is in a major recession, and yet our expenses to the Israeli army are strongly increasing every year and far surpass aid to any other country.
