Truth!

The politicians and news media are not telling the American people the truth. They are letting them think politically driven "feel good" laws and not fact based actions will help. The idea that clip size or banning specific firearms will prevent crazy people from doing what they do is ridiculous. The sad thing is that many people think these "AR's" are exactly what our military personal use, when they are not! In addition, clips can be switched in about a second and has no impact to the bad guys.

Most people agree that back ground checks in gun shops and guns shows should be consistent and that current laws should be enforced .No one wants the mentally ill or felons to have firearms.

An analogy I can think of that most people can relate to is automobile accidents.

What if the President stood up surrounded by children and announced he wanted to do what he could do in order to save even one life.... by the largest killer of children - automobile accidents. He would state that "speed kills" so he will issue an executive order to have all vehicles restricted by automakers to only go 40 MPH. He further states that since sport cars have no other purpose but to go fast, that they must be eliminated and not be allowed to be purchased by the American people. (at this point I can picture a reporter asking the question "Mr. President, what facts do you have to support this" ? His reply, "This is not about facts, but about a knee jerk reaction to do something popular").

In similar fashion, Chicago's Mayor will ask everyone to stop buying stock of American automakers until they agree with the ridiculous government demands.

Now who sounds crazy?
