Medicare and the public option
Republicans and insurance company profits
Personally, I would like to see Medicare expanded to include everyone. It's an efficient program that's popular with all who receive its benefits. Why don't we all have it? Yes we would have to pay more into it, but we would then not have to be making the big insurance payments we are now making. Going to it would cut health care costs by 15% and that's big. Getting everyone covered would end the hidden tax we all pay to care for the uninsured, savings, another 15%. Now just what is wrong with this plan? If we can't have that then I support the public option. The point needs to be made that the Republicans are more interested in protecting insurance company profits that they are in serving the American people.
