Health Care Reform
To: Rep. Marion Berry
November 9, 2009
It is with much horror I learn that you voted in favor of the monstrous health care bill that squeaked through the house on Saturday night. I cannot express how disappointed I am that you have put your personal interests above those who elected you to serve in our best interest.
Additionally, I called repeatedly on Friday to your numbers in Washington and Jonesboro. The lines were always busy. Indicative of how you did not want to hear our instructions before the vote?
This is appalling. You have seriously put our country's economic future in jeapordy by voting Yes to a 1900 page bill that is overloaded with pork, does little if anything to stop the rising costs of health care, and is sure to add even more taxes on those of us who actually 'work' for a living.
I do not know what was promised to you for your Yes vote but I hope it will carry you through the unemployment line when we fire you in the next election. I also hope that any public option in health care becomes a requirement for all elected officials.
You sided with the likes of Nancy Pelosi, someone I consider 'hell bent' on destroying the greatest country on earth. You are welcome to each other.
Again, your decision to ignore the people who elected you and who are your employers will be your downfall in the next election. I am not part of any angry mob, I am a V O T E R !
