Subject:
We need jobs, not another big spending bill for health insurance

To:
President Barack Obama
Sen. Patty Murray
Sen. Maria Cantwell
Rep. Adam Smith

November 7, 2009

It would appear that my elected officials are confused about my number one priority (and the priorities of the majority of Americans). It is jobs and the deficit. The health insurance bill that is under consideration will have an adverse effect on both. I do not support it, nor does anyone that I know. You people are out of touch with the American people. I am an independent and I voted for all of you in the last election because I thought you might be more capable of representing the majority of Americans than the Republicans, but you have proven me wrong. I won't make the same mistake in the next election, and will be voting against you unless you drop this socialist healthcare insurance bill and start working on the priorities of the majority of Americans (jobs, the deficit, and the war).
