Healthcare Bills
To: Sen. Patty Murray
November 7, 2009
The majority of Americans believe that there is a lot to dislike about the massive new healthcare bills that are more about government control that true cost reform.
YES - We need healthcare reform, e.g. tort reform, electronic health records, buyers' market for pharmaceuticals or allowing the interstate competition of private insurance companies but please:
NO - To a bill that will be raising taxes for a bill that is being called "affordable"
NO - To a bill that will result in further job cuts (reported unemployment at 10.2% and counting - actual around17 ½%
NO - To any vote without reading all the fine print in the bill or after several days posting so people can study it
NO - To a bill that has pet pork projects to buy votes for passage
YES - It is time to get back to following the supreme law of the land - the U.S. Constitution - remember the one that you swore to uphold! How about support for the Enumerated Powers Act?
