I was a Democrat for most of my life. I am now an independent voter. I feel that Congress is not even listening to the majority of Americans. Everyone I talk to is against this Health Reform bill but many in Congress are determined to ram it down our throats anyway. If you vote for this, don't be surprised if your next election finds you looking for a new career. I am just an every day working middle class person and I am getting used to the fact that most of Congress is blind to what we need. Whatever happened to government by the people not by you???? At a time when this country desperately needs work to be done on dire issues, you pick something like this to do. I am 62 and never in my life have I ever seen government running car companies and banks and who knows what plans they have next. Everything will go down in the history books and people will scratch their heads in years to come. How have we come to this in what has been the symbol for freedom in the world for years. Now we are broke, indebted to our enemies in China...how crazy is that?? and still we want to spend money we don't even have. Please stop this insanity before we become just another broken country.
