Oppose H.R.3962 - Affordable Health Care for America Act
To: Sen. Dianne Feinstein

Sen. Barbara Boxer
November 7, 2009
Dear Mr. Miller,
Please vote against passage of H.R.3962 - Affordable Health Care for America Act. The Congressional Budget Office estimated that the legislation will spend $1.055 trillion (while private estimates are as high as 2.4 trillion), largely to expand health insurance, which would be more than offset by tax increases and spending cuts. The revised legislation would extend insurance coverage to 36 million Americans and create a new government health-insurance program to compete with private insurance companies.
• Fuzzy math at best as with any government agency.
• Tax increase is the only certainty of this bill!
• Spending cuts? The fox is watching the hen house.
• 36 million uninsured Americans? That's less than 15% of the population? Anyone can go to their local County Hospital and receive treatment and pay commensurate with their ability to pay for service whether insured or not.
• A new government health-insurance program would actually be a tax-payer dollar funded program insulated from conventional business practices of a private enterprise. How is that competitive?
• Real Americans do not need nor want a Mommy State. The provisions within the Constitution of the United States of America are really quite sufficient.
• Private enterprise is the most efficient model to follow. Of course, being a career bureaucrat, it is obvious that terms such as personal responsibility, land of opportunity, profit and loss may be foreign to you.
Thank you
Martinez , CA
