Pelosi has ordered, yes ordered democrats to vote for her version of a health care bill. She apparently is not concerned with the fact they will be committing political suicide. She believes that even if democrats are voted out of power they will regain control within 1 or 2 election cycles.
She is very brave when it is other peoples jobs that are on the line.
She also thinks taxpayers are stupid clods who will forget when she comes up for reelection. I lived in California for a long time---- she is probably right.
