Rep. Dean Heller

November 6, 2009

We are writing to you to express our opposition to Nancy Pelosi's health care reform bill and Harry Reid's bill once it emerges from behind closed doors. Either bill will be devastating to our freedoms, our economy, and our families.

Furthermore, we are disgusted with strong-arm tactics being used to silence debate on the contents of these bills and by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's "stealth" course of action in crafting his own version of ObamaCare. These underhanded devices eliminate the opportunity for public debate and scrutiny, which flies in the face of our legislative process. These deceptive tactics are simply to expedite the socialization of our health care system, which will ultimately change the course of America in the wrong direction!

Government-run health care is bad for our economy. It is bad for our health care system. And it is morally wrong in that it will force pro-life citizens to fund and support abortion.

We urge you to oppose government-run health care that includes any version of the so-called "public option," an individual mandate to purchase health insurance, or government funding of abortion.
