health care reform

PLEASE vote against the health care reform bill. From what I have read about the bill it does not adequately provide reform from our present health care problems. As developed, the bill will increase taxes not only for individuals but also companies that hire them. At a time when our economy is facing dire situations, the bill only seems to make our situation worse. In addition, it will eventually increase out deficit, help to devalue the dollar, and present our children and grandchildren with debt that is sure to impact their ability to create the type of environment that we have come to expect as routine. I have tried to read the bill and have been presented with situations that would prevent even an experienced lawyer from understanding what the bill entails. Can you honestly tell me that you have read the entire 1990 pages and that you understand what you have read? I realize that you probably have staff members that read sections of the bill and reported back to you as to their interpretation of what they read. I also understand that you have confidence that their ability to comprehend the bill's intentions and to provide relevant reports to you is something that you considered when you first hired them. But I submit to you that the portions of the bill I have read all seem to hurt our chances of surviving our current economic situation and does not, in effect, cure our health reform problems. Before you vote, please reconsider the impact that this bill will have on Texas and your constituent's ability to maintain those benefits provided by the American way of life. True, our current health system has problems, but fix it rather than adding to our current problems by creating another process whereby individuals find themselves deeper in the quagmire rather than experiencing relief..
