Two pistols? One a semiautomatic? 31 wounded & 13 dead?

This just gets worse and worse.

If this is true, our military in Ft. Hood behaved like a bunch of "federal employees" instead of soldiers. Reality check: What would have happened if a single Japanese soldier had attacked a group of marines like that? Answer - they would have ripped him to pieces...armed or not.

That fact that *hundreds* of Ft. Hood soldiers couldn't accomplish same speaks volumes about our volunteer military. What on earth will we do when our armies are overwhelmed, outmatched? When will you face up to the brittleness of our current course?

It's one thing to fight when god and artillery are on your side - quite another to do so when you're almost sure to lose. Yet that ferocity is precisely what has saved this nation many times - and it's something which appears missing from the US military today.

You have built an army of ticket punchers. Heads need to roll.
