If the US was a company facing the challenges, it has now, and the president was the CEO, and the Senators and Congressmen were the board of directors, what should they be doing? They should be prioritizing the most critical issues for resolution with all of the intelligence available to serve the needs of its mission. For this company, the mission is to meet the urgent needs of its constituents thru sound governance.
We have several critical issues - challenged economy, rising unemployment, rising debt, several stalled military efforts and some very unstable international situations (Iran and N Korea). What is they focused on - health care reform that must be passed as soon as possible, but will not make an impact for several years. I think this is the wrong priority - people are out of work, cannot pay their mortgages and housing bankruptcy is near an all time high. We are loosing soldiers every day. We are letting irrational leaders endanger the whole world. Yes, healthcare costs are rising and we need reform, but the solutions are not getting to the real root cause of the problems. Big gov't and gov't run health care is not the solution.
If you vote yes for this health care reform bill and do not focus on the critical issues, then you will get my vote of no confidence - the CEO & the Board are not doing their job and should go.
