Health Care Bill

To:
Sen. Russ Feingold

November 5, 2009

The Health Care Bill (H.R. 3962) and any attempt at government take-over of the health care, as is currently proposed on Capital Hill, is fundamentally a bad idea. 17 proposed amendments to H.R.3962 that would prohibit taxpayer funding for abortion in ObamaCare have been defeated. How can you be a champion of Health Care reform, when the very 'reform' you talk about would ensure that we, the taxpayers, have to pay for the destruction of 4000 future citizens a day by virtue of abortion. There are many reasons I oppose the Health Care Bill but stopping the taxpayer funding of abortion is perhaps the most important. It is immoral to fund the destruction of innocent human life. If we cannot trust you with the life of an unborn child, how can we seriously trust you with meaningful Health Care reform? I urge you to create a fundamentally sound Health Care Bill with many of the components already in place, WITHOUT the mandate for taxpayer-funded abortion.
Quite frankly, if this Bill passes as is, then we, as a society, have degenerated to the level of the barbaric Aztec Indian cultures in Central America (circa 1400's) that offered the sacrifice of infants, the very practice of which we abolished as a Christian culture.
