Health Care Bill

Here are some of the reasons why I urge you to vote against this bill.
1. This bill prohibits the sale of private individual health insurance policies beginning in 2013 which forces all individuals to purchase coverage from the federal government. (page 94) The government should not be able to force any citizen of the U.S. to purchase anything from itself.
2. This bill will use federal money to fund abortions. (page 110) That is wrong - I do not want to pay for any abortions with my tax dollars.
3. This bill establishes a new government-run health plan that could cause as many as 114 million Americans to lose their existing ins. coverage. No one should lose their health ins. because of a govt. health plan!
4. This bill does not REQUIRE members of Congress to enroll in the govt. run health care plan that is required of its citizens. (pg. 225) If the plan is good enough of the american citizen, it should be good enough for congressman.
5. This bill imposes a 2.5% tax on all individuals who do not purchase "bureaucrat-approved" health ins. and who have incomes of less than $250,000, (pg. 297) which is 90% of all Americans. A NEW TAX. The PROMISED NOT TO RAISE TAXES on any family with incomes of less than $250,000. Is Obama going to BREAK HIS PROMISE like George Bush did in the early 1990's?
6. This bill imposes an 8% tax on jobs for companies that cannot afford to purchase "bureaucrat=approved" health coverage. (pg. 313)
7. This bill imposes additional job-killing taxes via a surcharge on more than half of small businesses.(pg. 336)
8. This bill will cut more than $150,000,000 from Medicare Advantage plans. (pg. 520) Has anyone in Congress tried to live on SS payments?
9. This bill includes provisions for taxes on certain ins. policies. (pg. 1174)
These are just a few of the items in this bill that I strongly object to and I trust that you do as well.
I urge you to VOTE AGAINST THIS BILL!
