IWe are writing to urge you to oppose government-run health care that includes any version of the so-called "public option," an individual andate to purchase health insurance, or government funding of abortion.
We are appalled by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's strong-arm tactics to silence the voices of pro-life legislators. We are sickened that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is using legislative trickery to expedite his own version of the ObamaCare health care reform plan. Silencing debate in a democratic society is always wrong!
We cannot support the government taking control of our health care system. We certainly cannot support any bill that requires our tax dollars to pay for abortions because this violates our deeply held beliefs. Taxpayers should not be forced to pay for abortions. Businesses should not be forced to offer abortion coverage. This takeover of our health care system amounts to tyranny! It's wrong for America and our individual freedoms.
