Mr Tanner,
Today I downloaded and skimmed through HR3962. I have, so far, actually read the first 200 pages and hit the highlights of the rest. One thing is VERY clear. This bill is NOT about health care "reform" it IS about having the government micro manage EVERY aspect of health care in this country. It even appears to include the micro managing of a few things that are only linked to health care. I can not help but get a sick feeling as I read through the titles and subsections. I can not comprehend how anyone would believe that having the government micro manage our lives will a) make our standard of living better, b) actually SAVE money. Give me a brake! I have witnessed NO aspect of government that has increased my standard of living nor saved even a dime of my money. The government only appears to succeed in creating bureaucracy and wasting tax dollars as a result. I hear that fiscal conservatives are concerned about the direction this country is taking. Do you want to know why we are falling on our face? It is because of bills like HR3962. This is not reform it is more government intrusion into our lives and the result will be more pain in the long run. I don't think I can say enough about how wrong this direction is. The only correct answer to this situation is a NO vote. Health care is not a crisis. Are there issues? Yes. But this bill will not solve those issues it will only add more to the growing pile, a pile that will eventually crush this once great country. Bills like this one make me fearful for my children's future.
