I was a republican for 30 years bush cured me. thank you fore your effort on the public option our nation is so divided on this problem. I tried to think of any other time in our history we were so divided . we have so many congressmen taking money from the insurance industry (go to OPENSECRETS.ORG) in the civil war southern states congressmen were made up of plantation owners and those that made money off cotton they didn't wont government coming between them and Thar cotton pickers these men convinced poor white southerners that didn't own slaves to fight and die so thy could keep getting richer.many of the ones that lived through the war became sharecroppers and continued to be exploiter by the same men .their ancestor's are still with us these poor and middle class people call themselves REPUBLICANS and continue to support their oppressors
