Subject:
Health Care Reform Legislation

The subject legislation, in all the varied forms that are currently being discussed on Capitol Hill, are out of step with the wishes of the majority of citizens of the Unites States of America as well as in conflict with the limitation of enumerated authorities and the 10th Amendment to the Constitution. Clearly, the continued discussion of the currently proposed legislation, in its many forms, demonstrates that Congress is out-of-control and non-representative of the wishes of the electorate (in view of the many town hall meetings held over the summer break).
If you vote in favor of this or any other of this type legislation, you will be violating your oath of office and stripping the citizens of our nation of their God-given Rights that are guaranteed in the Bill of Rights!
Our citizens overwhelmingly like the quality of health care available in our country. What they are concerned with are the exploding costs. These costs are driven by a number of factors, but predominantly by government mandated payment schedules through Medicare, malpractice litigation, and limitations on competition among insurance carriers across state borders, (relative to both cost and coverage choices).
The reform that our citizens really want does not include change to "health care" per se and does not include increased government control over "health care".
Conclusion: The reforms desired are in the areas of Tort Reform, fixing the existing government systems (i.e., Medicare & Medicaid), reducing government regulations on Health Care providers and insurance carriers, and increasing interstate, free-market competition among insurance carriers.
Please be mindful of your duty to represent your constituents and uphold the Constitution of the United States. Thank-you.
