Please defend the constitution and the rights of the unborn. I fear that this healthcare bill will undermine many of my constitutional rights. I am strongly opposed to any public funding of abortions or of the including coverage for illegal immigrants in the bill. Please ask yourself if this bill will really strengthen America or will it be the extra burden that will escalate the bankruptcy of America. A bankrupt nation cannot help the poor, and it cannot defend itself from those that would abuse it. Just as we are told to put the oxygen mask on ourselves in case of an emergency while on a plane, before putting on the mask of one in our care we would be wise to make sure that our actions don't cripple us from being able to help those that rely so heavily upon us by increasing our national debt.
Creating a federal health care option is not a good way of addressing the need. I am strongly opposed to America becoming a socialized nation as individual freedom is what has made America great. Perhaps a funding of some available plans by the government for people in real need as the government now funds their food and housing and even cell phones as necessities of life would be a better alternative. These should all be done as temporary measures until those recipients can provide for themselves. As Abraham Lincoln said, "You do no man a favor by doing for him what he can and should do for himself." We need to help enable all Americans to provide for themselves.
