Can someone please explain how you can cut billions from Medicare and not reduce or ration care to that age group? If a public option pays providers less the cost of the service like Meicare does, private pay and private insurance will end up subsidizing the government plan and thus the cost of insurance will skyrocket in the private sector. The whole thing will crumble and everyone will end up on the government plan with no way to pay for it. The healthcare in this country will end up being only for those who can pay for it out of pocket. The government will be bankrtupt and unable to pay. Please do not bankrupt this country! It is totally irresponsible to take on this project when the deficit is already too high. Do tort reform and more competition and other no cost to the government reforms first. Get the country out of this financial mess and then maybe consider further reforms in healthcare. Over half the country does not want our country runined. Please represent the majority on this issue.
