Baby Boomers will vote out reform legislators

Dear Leaders,

Have you analyzed the demographics? There is no way that legislators who vote for any of these health care reform bills will be re-elected in 2010.

The youngest baby boomers are now over 50, and they have health care on their minds. They want quality health care when they need it - not rationed health care after the need has passed. Nor will they support a new trillion dollar entitlement program that America cannot afford, because we see how government struggles to keep the existing entitlement programs solvent.

Sure, America's youth imagine that they're immortal, and they are naive enough to trust government to run health care, despite the overwhelming evidence that govenment is unqualified to do so. So they might vote for your re-election.

However, baby boomers in America have not reproduced themselves in this country. There aren't enough young people to keep reform legislators in office. You need the votes of baby boomers and seniors if you wish to be re-elected. If you vote yes on health care reform, you simply won't get the votes you need. Is a marxist health care system a great enough thing to be worth losing re-election? I suggest you give that some thought.

By the way. You can't keep the system, even if you vote for it, because the legislation would be rescinded much faster than you could ever get it passed.
