This is to notify you of my strong opposition to the health care bill as proposed, especially because of the public option, and cutting back on Medicare. My feeling is that President Obama and congress are ramming it down the throats of voters who don't want it, not because they are interested in health care for all, just interested in control and a push for socialism in this country. I feel that the proposal, which would allow people to keep the insurance they now have, is temporary and just a foot in the door for the total public option to become permanent down the road.
If 85% of the people are happy with the insurance they now have, I can't see why President Obama and Congress don't just deal with the much smaller percentage of folks who need it and leave the rest of us out of the equation.
I will be watching how my delegates vote on this and take that into consideration in future elections.
