I am writing to express my strong support of a PUBLIC OPTION in any Health legislation passed by the Congress. Ideally, every American citizen would have the same excellent cradle-to-grave medical coverage as the members of Congress currently enjoy. The health coverage offered by such government-run plans as the VA, Medicaid and Medicare, with all their faults, are among the most successful government programs, and provide better coverage than the private insurance industry typically offers at a far better cost. I strongly urge you to vote in favor of any bill that extends such public coverage to as much of the populace as possible.
