Health Care Bill

These are a few of my comments about the Health Care Bill now in Congress.
Why is there so much urgency to pass a bill that will not go into effect until the year after the next Presidential election? Could it be that President Obama wants it passed before the public knows what is in it? Otherwise, why wait to implement such an urgently needed bill, if it is such a matter of life and death?
There are many people in the Obama administration who want to do things that have not been done before and to do them before the public realizes what is happening. To get this massive government takeover of medical care passed before the public knows what its actual consequences will be is one such thing.
Gullible people will always fall for the promise of something for nothing, but the more informed and intelligent people know that there is no such thing as a free lunch. I am insulted when I hear that millions of people can be insured without adding to the deficit. Besides miraculously finding the money through eliminating waste and fraud to help pay for this bill, would doctors, nurses, and medical facilities be produced as well?
Lastly, the so-called public option is a joke. When the government drives up the cost of private insurance with mandates and subsidizes a government plan with our tax-payer money, how long will it be before we have the single-payer system many in Congress seem to want?
Please realize that I am taking this quite seriously, and will watch the way you vote in order to know how I should vote in the next Congressional election, and urge my friends to vote that way, also.
