Don't Use Climate Change to Hide Tax Hikes!

To:
Sen. John Rockefeller

October 27, 2009

Dear Senator Rockefeller,

A climate bill should not be used to hide a tax hike. No matter your position on global warming, we should all be able to agree that it should not be used as a guise to grow government revenue.

Please sign the No Climate Tax pledge below and return it to Americans for Prosperity. It is important to let constituents like me know where you stand on this issue by signing the pledge. If you refuse to sign, I can only conclude that you want to use a global warming bill to hide a tax hike.

Here is the pledge:
I, ______________________, pledge to the taxpayers of the state of _______________ that I will oppose any legislation relating to climate change that includes a net increase in government revenue.

Signed By: __________________________________Date: _____________
Printed Name: __________________________________________________
Witness Signature: _____________________________________________

Please return the signed pledge to Phil Kerpen at Americans for Prosperity by EMAIL (pkerpen@afphq.org) FAX (202-478-0343) or mail (1726 M St. NW, 10th Floor, DC, 20036).
