Subject:
COPENHAGEN CLIMATE TREATY
To: Sen. Jim Webb
Rep. Tom Perriello
Sen. Mark Warner
October 27, 2009
As a serious and concerned citizen of the United States of America, I request that you find it in your conscience to act to safeguard our country, a nation blessed with liberty and freedom through the legacy of the greatest Constitution ever written. With the prospect of our president signing the Treaty on Climate Change in Copenhagen this December, we are at risk of seeing the dissolution of our US Constitution, and therefore the relinquishment of our very sovereignty - something unthinkable until now! Time is of the essence in this matter, and I beg you to please not set this aside. The treaty that the president is about to sign in Copenhagen will, with his signature, null and void our very Constitution. There is too much proof here to avoid this issue. This must not be allowed to happen to a country we all dearly love and cherish, whose citizenry have been granted the greatest of all treasures through her Constitution, our freedom. DO NOT VOTE TO ALLOW SIGNING OF THIS TREATY AS IT IS - This is NOT for, of, or by THE PEOPLE of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. The idea of a One World Government via the United Nations CONTRADICTS our Constitution and Bill of Rights. The United States is not responsible for "global warming" and to accept the responsibility this treaty currently implies is WRONG. I would rather that we, The United States of America, propose to amend the Copenhagen Treaty to mirror the current cap-and-trade bill in the U.S. House and Senate. I want my grandchildren and their children to live in the AMERICA I have known - Be cautious - Do what is RIGHT as a representative of the People - it is a great responsibility - Be Strong Sincerely yours
