Unfortunately, I am getting the impression that my elected officials do not have a clue of how to address this issue.
I worked for more than 50 years, dutifully paid into Social Security, pay for Medicare, pay for a drug plan and pay for a health insurance policy. If, under the plan that is finally enacted, my premiums increase (private and Medicare), my deductibles increase and my coverage decreases I will have been dealt an enormous injustice for doing the right thing for 50 years.
The redistribution of wealth is not the purpose of this or any other bill. Further, any health coverage bill that is passed should have a clause that all Representatives and Congressman should be immediately placed under that plan.
