Closed Door Healt Care Reform Sessions

To:
Rep. Jean Schmidt

October 27, 2009

Dear Representative Schmidt,
I have been following the under handed methods being used by an out of control Congress to force legislation. This includes the most recent example of closing all meetings to the public for the Health Care Reform legislation.
It might serve congress well to review their history. Take a look at the Fall of the Roman Empire. It might also serve them well to read and understand the U.S. Constitution. Take a look at the current situation in Argentina.
I urge you to pass no legislation which is crafted behind closed and does not allow public review for at least one week prior to voting by congress.
We are at a turning point in our country's history. Will we go down the road of complete government dictatorship, or will we revert back to the principles laid out by our founding fathers? As a member of congress, you play a key role. I urge you to make decisions that will allow you to sleep in peace at night and preserve our freedom.
