Profits are being put ahead of public safety Concerning the Flu

Questions are also arising about how vaccine is allocated by the manufacturers and distributors.

Doctors and public health officials complain that big drugstore and grocery chains seem to have plenty of vaccine — and even advertise that — while they are left wanting.

There certainly seems to be enough vaccine around if you're willing to pay for it. Why are businesses aquiring more flu shots than public officials or doctors? Because profits are being put ahead of public safety concerning the flu.

As taxpayers learn about the cost of footing the bill for the purchases of millions of doses of influenza and HN1 flu vaccines from manufactures, they are also outraged by the way government has allowed the majority of these vaccines to be delivered to big drugstores and grocery chains over public health officials and doctors.
