Regarding net neutrality:
What would you think of a hauling company that charged an extra 20% to haul a container of Sony (as opposed to, say, LG) TVs over and above the standard rate for the same weight? Wouldn't you be more outraged if you found out that the hauler was owned by the same company that owned LG? Bits are bits. Data trunk owners should be paid for bits delivered, period. If ATT, etc. don't feel like they are making enough profit competing head to head, just let them get out of the business and make room for those who are willing to compete. Also, they should quit whining about having to build more infrastructure; that's what they're being paid to deliver.
I have no problems paying for receiving large data volumes, and neither should the providers (NetFlix, YouTube, Google, etc.). As long as there is real free-market competition among trunk line providers, I see no problem.
