In this dreadful economy, it makes sense to have those that are profiting the most from our system, pay a larger load of the taxes. I think we should return to the tax brackets of the 1970s and 1980s when very high incomes would pay 70% or 80% of their income above a certain threshold. Our tax revenues continue to plummet each year, those that have the most disposable income should have to pay more. It is obvious that the current economic structure is not working, please give higher taxes on the super rich a try.
