Support Bill HR3355

October 21, 2009

Please support bill:
HR3355 Older Driver and Pedestrian Safety and Roadway Enhancement Act 2009

When driving on the Interstate it is crucial to be able to read oncoming overhead signs in a timely manner so as to be able to make safe decisions. As it stands now, some States have signs lit and others do not. The signs that are not lit at best are extremely hard to read unless you're right up on them and if the weather is anything but dark and clear there are so many shadows on the signs they are unable to be read at all and therefore are of no help whatsoever. Not everyone has or uses a GPS and the need for highway signs is extremely important especially when you're in an unfamiliar area. If all overhead signs were lit it would be much easier to see from a distance and allow the time necessary to make a safe decision in addition weather would be much less an issue! Please support bill HR3355 Older Driver and Pedestrian Safety and Roadway Enhancement Act 2009 and insist that all overhead signs be lit which helps to protect everyone on the highway.

Thank You for your support!
