Regulating over the counter derivatives

Dear Sir/Madaam:
I just viewed a very disturbing and enlightening PBS special on Frontline regarding the financial meltdown due to the unregulated over the counter derivative markets. I hope that you and your colleagues have the courage to stand strong against the wealthy, influential financial lobbyists to make the necessary reforms in this area. Improving transparency and having these derivatives sold in an exchange seem to be necessary components of reform as suggested by experts in the field.
I am 51 years old and am saving aggressively for my retirement and hope that the necessary regulations in this lucrative and volatile area are made to avoid another financial meltdown in the future. Something needs to be done to avoid another crisis. Please have the courage and wisdom to do what is right to protect my financial future and the future of my fellow Americans.
