I strongly support allowing passengers to transport their guns in locked baggage on Amtrak. It might have some people using the train that wouldn't ordinarily do so. I have a concealed carry permit good in 32 states (sadly my home state of Illinois isn't one of them) and I go nowhere without my weapon. Usually I travel by car but when I fly I put my gun in checked baggage, but I don't have that option on Amtrak. I am also running for Jerry Costello's seat in the 12th, so you will be meeting with me in the not too distant future. Thank you for your time!
