Copenhagen Treaty on global warming

To:
Rep. Chet Edwards

October 20, 2009

Our current president will be signing a global warming bill in Dec. which I see as contrary to our Constitution, and the wording of that treaty is such that it will have the effect of 2 things: bankrupting America, and making our government subject to something other than our Constitution.
"an equitable allocation of the global atmospheric resources" is beyond a stupid statement in the treaty. Further, here is the clincher: "The government will be ruled by the COP with the support of a new subsidiary body on adaptation, and of an Executive Board responsible for the management of the new funds and the related facilitative processes and bodies." What government? Certainly not ours!
And last but not least: "All developed country Parties [shall] adopt legally binding mitigation commitments."
Please do not think the public is fooled by this, and don't let yourself be either. This flies in the face of my liberties and my Constitutional rights!
I sincerely hope you will see the flagrant misuse of this treaty and therefore take a firm stand against it.
Sincerely yours, Annette Akerman
