Subject:
Proposed $250. Social Security payment

To:
Rep. Mary Bono Mack

October 16, 2009

I am in a quandry. I'm 61 & disabled, so if Obama gets his way, the Government is about to give me $250. The problem is that because of premium increases for Medicare Part D, I sure could use that money; but, the Government doesn't even have 250 actual cents let alone $250. So this leaves me with the following options:
1. Do I let my Country go even deeper in debit & take the money, which I could really use?
Or
2. Do I return the $250 to the Treasury, because there is no way to refuse it?

Man, what a decision, I have to make. The family thinks I'm crazy because they say that the amount isn't going to make any difference to the Government & they'd only find another way to squander it.

I'm not looking for an answer from you; just wanted to vent & share another aspect of the Obama Administration's effect on Joe average citizen. They put me in the position that I have to make the choice of being greedy like a lot of people & companies; or, do I do the right thing & do what I feel is right for my Country?
