Cost of living process for Social Security

Rep. Patrick Tiberi

October 15, 2009

Hello Again, With all the problems created by the leadership in congress and the administration, I would like to complain about another problem this is being neglected, in my opinion. Someone in the administration or congress made an assanine statement that there will be no cost of living increase for 2009 and 2010 due to no inflation. I know how the increase is figured which is through the bureau of labor statitics, which has reported CPI increases all year. I would appreciate your assistance in getting to the botom of this incredible decision made by someone with no credibility in my mind. The time is short as the SS dept needs lead time to correct this assinine error. I found out through the media that a congressman wants to give the retirees 250 this year because we are good people I assume. Or he needs extra attention at the polls. I would like the situation corrected as it has been since 1975. What makes this so assanine is, how can anyone predict the cost of living a year in advance? If he can, he should get a Nobel prize. I see your opposition has a large campaign going with the extra money from the Dems. When they quit lieing, I will start listening, but they never quit lieing.

Westerville, , OH
