Transportation and Infrastructure Committee's Aviation Subcommittee
To: Rep. Christopher Smith
October 14, 2009
Mr. Smith,
I am one of your many constituents who resides in Freehold NJ, I am calling you about aviation user fees issue that keeps coming up with the White House these fees will directly effect our state of NJ and impact the local general aviation airports and jobs that support general aviation in NJ. I am asking you to please sign the letter that representatives Jerry Costello (DIll) and Thomas Petri (R-Wis)are sending to the President urging him not to propose user fees in his 2011 budget. Your support is required before 5PM on Friday Oct 16, because:
- Administrative costs and burdens make user fees an inefficient way of financing our aviation system; and
- Having another debate on user fees—which have been rejected repeatedly by Congress—will only delay progress on the much needed air transportation system modernization.
The deadline for signatures is close of business on Friday, Oct 16.
Thanks for your past support
Freehold , NJ
